Accounts and workspaces

One account — your email address — can belong to many workspaces, in a different role in each. Everything else in Doorwick hangs off the workspace: its widget, its inbox, its knowledge, its AI provider, and its bill.

Email and password

What you get by default at chat.doorwick.com/signup. Passwords are at least eight characters.

Google or GitHub

Offered on the sign-in and sign-up screens when configured. Signing in with a provider whose email matches an existing account connects the two rather than making a second one, so you can start with a password and switch to Google later without stranding your workspaces.

Forgotten a password? Reset it from the sign-in screen — you'll get a link by email. If your account only ever used Google, GitHub, or LinkedIn, there's no password to reset; sign in with the provider.

One workspace per thing your customers think of as a separate product. Two apps with different users, different docs and different support queues want two workspaces; a marketing site and the app it sells usually want one.

Each workspace is billed separately, has its own site key and embed snippet, its own knowledge — which the AI never mixes across workspaces — and its own team.

A new account opens the first-workspace dialog on the dashboard. Later, add another from New workspace in the sidebar switcher. You become its owner, receive a secured site key, and enter installation-first setup before deciding when to activate billing.

The switcher scopes the whole app to one workspace — the conversation list, the numbers, and every settings page beneath it. All workspaces puts every conversation you can see in one list, which is the right view when you're the only person on call.

Your choice sticks as you move around, so opening Analytics for one workspace and then clicking Conversations keeps you in that workspace rather than dropping you back to everything.

Archive account

A reversible pause. Doorwick signs you out on every device, stops notifications, and keeps your credentials, memberships, preferences, and shared history. Sign in again with your password or a verified Google, GitHub, LinkedIn, or X account to restore it automatically.

Delete permanently

An irreversible deletion of your login, identities, sessions, personal settings, pending personal uploads, and workspace memberships. Shared workspace conversations remain with your operator authorship anonymized. Eligible workspaces that you own alone are deleted.

Open Account from the user menu on the web, or open Settings in the iPhone or Android app. Archive and permanent deletion are always separate choices; you do not need to archive before deleting.

Shared and co-owned workspaces keep their customer-controlled records. After deletion, surviving operator messages show Deleted operator to teammates and Support to visitors. Doorwick retains only safe identifiers and counts in its activity history; Stripe may retain payment records under its own policy.

If you cannot sign in, use the public account deletion guide or email privacy@doorwick.com from the address connected to your account.

Removing yourself from a workspace is Leave on your own row under Team. If you're its only owner you'll need to promote somebody else first — a workspace with no owner can't be managed by anyone.

Leaving doesn't cancel anything. To stop paying, cancel the subscription from Billing — and take your conversation export on the way out if you want a copy.
